Here is the story.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Federal authorities are at the scene of a bomb threat in downtown Oklahoma City.

A man walked into the federal building downtown, located at Northwest Sixth Street and Harvey Avenue, got into an argument with a staff person inside, left a note saying there was a bomb in a car and then dropped a backpack outside of the building.

An Oklahoma City bomb squad is searching the man's car for a bomb as of 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

There has been no evidence of a bomb found so far, police said.

The man is in custody.

Stay tuned to KOCO.com for further details.

If an event were to occur there, all of the force protection measures that we used in the design of the building should work. It was designed with such an event in mind to protect the occupants and the building itself. There are many visible and not so visible measures in use there.

Still that guy should be locked up. That is the last place to joke about having a bomb.

How horrid for the workers there. After everything so many of them have gone through, and the strides they've made to put 1995 behind them, they have to put up with idiots like this.

My wife works at OU. Normally, when coming home (we live in Mesta Park) she exits I-235 northbound at the Harrison exit (instead of the more logical 23rd Street exit ... it's a girl thing, I guess ... she says that it's quicker) and found that police were swarming all over the place and that access to the central downtown area was totally blocked. She didn't know why, but this thread give the why. Bizarre.

Of course, assume if you've done time for a prior threat, and you dinna mind the housing as compared to your current situation. In those circumstances, there are few better places to do something this boneheaded. He's pretty much assured of a long term 3 hots and a cot stay, as well as being relieved from the stress of making daily fashion conscious decisions.

I hope he'll get a judge that will lock him away for years.
