Yay we...raised...the ball.

I will still never get that. OOooOOOO. Let's stick this big ball on a hook and have a crane pull it up at midnight. Hell if we want something that goes up - build a big oil well or something, and at midnight have LED/fiber optic lighting simulate oil bumbling up and finally exploding at the top at midnight.

It would be unique and not a copy cat situation like other cities.

Missed out on opening night, again. I used to enjoy going, but most of the festivities now occur later than my eyes and brain wanna remain operational.

Yeah we really need to step it up. Opening Night--the ball/fireworks aspect, that is--is not Big League at all.

Cool idea for your area, try suggesting it to those in charge of that. It really would not be a hard thing to construct.
