I saw an article around thanksgiving about a chap down near 59th and Western that does holiday meals come one, come all. I think it was a bar b q place, but my memory is a tad fuzzy today

[added] Sooner BBQ, at SW39th and Western, is the place I meant to reference.

A great place to go on holidays if youre not wanting to cook are the big hotels in the area. Biltmore, Embassy Suites, Renaissance, etc...They usually do large buffets but spare not expense.

I know a lot of the large chain restaurants (Fridays, Chili's, etc) are open at least in the evening on X-mas day. I think Buffalo Wild Wings on Expressway may be open as well.

Wish I had known the Pro Room was open last night; I was looking for a place to grab a drink!

you mean christmas?

the greek word for "the annointed" is "Χριστός" which is transliterated into english as "christ." notice how the greek letter 'chi' looks like the roman letter 'x.' it was fairly common for the early church to abbreviate the word to either the first or first and second letters. the origin of the word "x-mas" results from using that abbreviation and is not (originally, at least) an attempt to secularize the holiday.

just throwin' that out there! ; )
