An outdoor block party?

Yeah and indoor, but I have a feeling with the weather the way it is, most of it will get moved indoors. I know they had a tent rented for the parking lot (free parking), I'm not sure if they were renting space heaters or not, but that will definitely help.

Okay, just got an update that more than likely because of the weather, it will get moved indoors to Envy and also inside the train station itself. I will update if I get any new info.

So it will be in the currently empty retail space next to Envy, I assume?

I understood it more as in the train station itself, like the lobby or one of the rooms off the lobby. I'll post more when I hear more.

Oh, well just going off nothing but the address, I assumed the parking lot on that corner at Reno & Gaylord.

You might want to put "Santa Fe Station" somewhere.

My bad, I just copied it from Wimgo, but YES, it is at Sante Fe Station. The flyers and posters we have up all over downtown say that, for some reason the wimgo didn't put that on there. Hope to see some of you there.

I went to the block party tonight with a group of friends. We had a lot of fun. Whoever planned the party deserves much kudos. There was a chocolate foundue with strawberries, bananas, and marshmellows. Tons of good food, and free drinks, plus dancing. I did come away from the event a little depressed because not that many people showed up, maybe 40. I just don't understand that not more people go to an event with all you can eat food, desserts, drinks, and dancing. Just shows you that we have a long way to go before we have a truly vibrant downtown life.

thanks for showing up mecarr, the turnout was a little smaller than I expected too, but it was very cold that evening and I'm wondering if that kept a lot of people out. free food and free bar should equal lots of turnout.
