While strolling to the central parking garage after Tuesday's great game vs. Phoenix, I took a few pics of the Myriad Gardens all dressed up for the holidays. I didn't have the best lens with me for such things (I used a telephoto for my game pics and that's not so good for closer-in pics like these), but some of them still turned out reasonably well, even though the pics are not as good as the eyes would have it. I'd recommend a night-time stroll during the holiday season for all.

I can't believe that this was the 1st time I've actually walked through a bit of Myriad Gardens during the Christmas holidays ... driving by, I've thought it was pretty, but I never stopped for a closer look. I'm planning to make a dedicated visit this season and take some really pretty pics with the right lens for such a thing.

Thanks for the nice comments.

We always make it a point to go through the gardens at Christmas time. Every year there are several events at the Ford center in December (TSO, All College, etc) that we go to, so we've started parking in the garage north of the park to take advantage of the lights. You really have to walk through the park to appreciate them. Really gets you in the Christmas spirit. Just a reminder: the Crystal Bridge will be open each Sunday from 6-9 pm (free) through December. BTW Nice pics Doug...I think I'll take my camera this Sunday!!

Sweet! Nice pics! My wife was wondering when they were going to turn them on. We drove by around 9pm on Monday night and they didn't have the lights turned on.

the view of the myriad gardens from the "rockstar suite" (1210) in the COLCORD is amazing this time of year.
