With all the "exciting" things going on in/around Bricktown, I wonder why the B.T. Association isn't paying it's bills?

Seems the Oklahoma Dept. of Tourism had to file a lawsuit the other day against the BTA for not paying at $1,500 advertising bill.

I'm sure the Dept. of Tourism had to have been billing them for months before deciding to file a small claims action.

Any juicy rumors?

I've checked into this and the tourism department may not have the best billing practices. Current director Jim Cowan told me last week he had attempted several times to find out what the bill was for and never got a response. The bill is now paid and the lawsuit has been dropped. The bill dates back to when Frank Sims was director and it was for advertising at the 2006 Tulsa state fair.

With the recent passing of Jim Brewer, I wonder what changes are in the future for BT?
