Can anyone tell me where to find a more current satellite image of OKC? Google Earth is hopelessly out of date. It appears to be years old as it doesn't have structures that have existed for a long time. What is your favorite mapping site?

Microsoft's Live Search Maps, Web browser and Live Maps are incompatible (http://maps.live.com/) , are pretty good. The Birds Eye View feature is probably what you're looking for ... it's very nice. It doesn't have Google Maps' street view, though. I use them both.

p.s. I have no idea why the link translated like it did, above. I'm using Firefox and it works fine in Firefox.

It translated like it did because the forums doesn't use Firefox to access the site and grab it's title. ;)

The OK County Assessor keeps awesome, detailed aerials plus photos of every property in the county:

speaking of current aerials... i'd love to see weekly/monthly updated aerials of the i-40 construction... i'm surprised no news outlet is making something like that available. anyone with me on that?

I've wondered the same thing, a couple of weeks ago I searched the web thinking for sure that ODOT or someone would have done that. Its impossible to gauge the progress comprehensivly without an aerial view. Maybe the city could hire someone to do a flyover. If not; like you mentioned 4, 5 or 9 could easily do a flyover with the helicopters.

Yahoo! Maps is interesting in that they actually have districts defined on the maps...the also have more up-to-date aerials...until you zoom in really close... weird.
