I was the first vote for OKC last night. Then I posted it here. And now OKC is leading.

Haha well I don't mind stuffing the ballot a little. Seattle's done it to us plenty.

As long as we're answering the question truthfully...right?

I competed at OKC this weekend and have to say, it is a first-class event all the way around. It's deserving of being "the best". I Can't wait to see what the overall experience is like in five years. Head of the Charles and Head of the Hooch are legendary, but OKC has taken the whole experience up a notch. I was truly impressed with how many crews from all over the country were here. OKC has a great canal to row in.

I have said all along these are the events that are going to get OKC international attention. Nothing wrong with padding the vote on that poll with some "honest" answers all it will do it is intrigue more people to come and see for themselves the world class venue OKC has to offer.

Looks like another forum found the poll. OKC isn't in the lead anymore.

The event was indeed great, except maybe for the laser and fireworks show. I kind of felt sorry the Oklahoman being the sponsor. I kept thinking, "They really are having money problems, aren't they". It was bad, and was more of a spotlight show than anything else.

So, what's the best site to see what's coming up next for the river? Functions, races, events and whatnot?

Next event will probably be the Holiday Boat Parade at Christmas time. Not much in the way of boating/water events in the fall/winter after the Head Races which as you know we just had.
