Larry Johnson, a finalist for the 2007 (I think) Oklahoma Book Award, and Pam Bracken, PhD., a University professor of English, have started a new publishing company - Forty-Sixth Star Press. (Forty-Sixth Star Press (http://www.fortysixthstarpress.com)) TThe name comes from Oklahoma being the 46th State.

They've released their second book - The Ghost of Mingo Creek. You can get it at Full Circle, Borders and Best of Books in Edmond.

This past weekend, we had a slumber party for my daughter. We decorated the basement like a haunted house and she read stories from the book. It was a huge hit. (It's geared toward middle readers - my daughter is 11 and said the stories spooked them.) But, I've read it and have to say - it's a great read for adults, too.

It retails for $15.95:congrats:
