I have been helping a good friend develop the Miles for Miracles 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. It is a fund raiser for the Ellie Kate Foundation and March of Dimes. We are always looking for more sponsors as well.

YES, I do know that the race is the same day as the OU/Tx game. And Yes, I know that OSU is also playing that day as well. However, I know that not everyone will be going to those games so some of you runners can run the short 5K or 1 mile and be back to your house/sports-bar in time for pre-game festivities.

Also, we have set up a way to donate for those of you that are allergic to physical activities.

Hello All:

Thank you to all of those who are interested in volunteering for the Miles for Miracles. We cannot thank you enough for wanting to help out. We need help in the following areas: race day registration, handing out and collecting the timing chips, the 5k water stop, and handing out water/bagels .

The 1 mile fun run is at 8am and the 5K will start at 8:30. Race Day Registration is at 7:20am at Stars & Stripes Park on the south side of Lake Hefner in OKC.

Please let me know if you are still interested/willing to help volunteer. Some of you already know what you will be doing. Everyone volunteering will receive a free Miles for Miracles T so please let me know what your size is and we'll make sure to have it for you.

Also, please let me know if you need any directions or have any questions. You are more than welcome to call me. I will also be doing registration and packet pick up on Friday at the Runner at May & Britton in OKC.
