Just wanted to let everyone know that the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma (DSACO) "Buddy Walk" is coming up.
Each year DSACO has a “Buddy Walk” to help raise money for the organization. This year’s walk is on September 20, 2008 at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. It will take place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There will be games, clowns, moon bounces, music and more. Food and drinks will also be available from the ballpark concessions. "Door prizes" will also be given away!
I hope that some OKCTalkers can attend and bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc. They will have fun! The games, moon bounces, etc are usually free. And there is no fee to get into the Bricktown Ballpark where it will be held.
My 4 year old son has Down Syndrome and my family and I participate in this walk each year! We have formed a walking team on his behalf called Ayden's Ambassadors. ... And I hope it is ok to post a link to our fundraising site here..... If any of you are interested in making a donation to DSACO please sponsor our team for the one mile walk. Donations can be made at our fundraising website (http://www.firstgiving.com/little).
Regardless of wheather you can make a donation or not the activities on Sept. 20 are open to everyone and I hope you and your family can attend!
