Ok I missed this at first glance but why the trademark and registered?

That is about the most amateurish logo I've ever seen.

No way in hell is that for real.

I pray it is none of the 3 suggestions they have listed.

And why would the Taste Of Oklahoma website know the name and even have the logo of our new basketball team? Anybody can put a trademark logo on anything. One-click in Photoshop.

I kind of like the Reds though! (Oklahoma's socialist history) :) That would play real well in present-day Oklahoma City! And Clay Bennett's team to boot!!

Just another pitch by someone with a not insignificant imbalance in available time and things they must do.

What the heck is OKC Rogers? That's a terrible name. So is OKC Twisters. This state is known enough already for its deadly tornadoes, no need to name our Basketball team after it. Again, I like the OKC Stampede or Barons. My favorite is the OKC 89ers in spirit of the 1889ers who claimed OKlahoma.

Why is the "KC" in the logo bold and larger than the "O"? It's almost like they are trying to point out Kansas City rather than Oklahoma City. Anyway I seriously doubt that this is the nickname for the team. I just found the logo interesting.

It's because the "O" is just a circle with the NBA logo cut/paste inside it. The K and C are a bona fide font which happens to be slightly larger than the circle.

Again... amateurish.

I hope not :(

I liked the Marshalls or the Barons.

as someone said earlier, can't we keep the speculating in one thread?

And as some have said to you MANY times can't we leave the moderating to the moderators?

Bennett's high school mascot was "The Cyclones"

Bennett's high school mascot was "The Cyclones"

I was just thinking the same thing. And the year book name at said high school: the Twister.

Co-inky-dink?

Regardless, the logo as presented on the other website is indeed amateurish. I really, really, REALLY hope this isn't the name.

How many times have you heard Rick Mitchell or Gary England say "cyclone"? It makes no sense. Tornadoes would stand a better chance than Cyclones.

C'mon, metro. Tornado season in Oklahoma wouldn't BE tornado season in Oklahoma without Gary spouting off about "mesocyclones." That, and "hook echo" are the tornadic catch phrases du jour.

Surely, there's some credence in that.

Come to think of it, that might be the team name...the OKC Mesocyclones!!!!

I like the name but the logo is terrible
