View Full Version : My dream observation tower...literally

Last night I had a dream in which I saw OKC's future observation tower. I must warn you, this is very corny, but also very unique and, in the dream, cool.

Picture this: At the very top was a large silver and almost glowing disc supported by a lighted and color-changing tube. Within the tube, people would be transported to the top by a transparent elevator. If you're catching what I'm throwing, it was a UFO beaming up people to the top.

Inside the tube, the colors changed from red, to green, blue, and clear, much like a color-changing lava lamp, without the lava. When the people arrived at the top, they entered the UFO, decorated to detail, but also with a section illustrating Oklahoma's rich history in aviation and space exploration.

Of course, the windows that encircled the UFO were all for observation and, only then, would you notice the manicured "grass circle" left underneath the UFO.

Now, that was corny as hell, but it was just a dream. I have to admit though, the dream was pretty cool and the idea is out there. These are the kind of crazy ideas that need to be considered, because one of them is bound to be tasteful enough for use.

Thoughts?

Thoughts?

So in this dream, did they do....experiments on you?

In all seriousness. That actually would be a cool idea. Its pretty out there for Oklahoma City thought. Thats something I would support.

Light years (no pun intended) beyond a giant oil derick.

I have two questions.

1. Do I have to be drunk to go in like everyone else that has been aboard a UFO?

2. Is probing included or will there be an extra charge?

this is... interesting enough to say the least.

Actually this has already been done. There was a hotel/casino in Las Vegas many years ago but it was imploded to make way for one of the new mega resorts. The implosion video was used in the movie Mars Attacks. Not saying it isn't a good or bad idea but it has been done before.

Not necessarily; The Landmark Hotel was designed to act as lodging, not a UFO-depicting observation tower.

I've never seen the movie, but from what I gather, the hotel was used as a prop to lessen the blow of the special effects budget. I think there is a big difference in the two.
