I found a marvelous 1905 Oklahoma Territory/Indian Territory Map at the Library of Congress website and it's HUGE (raw map is 8,624 x 13,422 pixels). It includes 1905 census information in the gazetter element and shows existing rail lines magnificently. I'm not going to post any text or other stuff here except the following small image showing the overall file which I've broken down into various elements with some discussion.

I've presented some very high resolution maps, and some info about Oklahoma County, Tulsa vicinity, Black Towns, and some other stuff.

I'm new to this page and forum , a lifelong resident of Midwest City .

I bookmarked your website and found the map so interesting since my paternal great grandfather was the first police chief of Shawnee, right when Oklahoma became a state. Him and his brother were lawmen in the Wewoka/Shawnee area for many years in the early 1900s.
