International recording artist JES is one of eight musical artist on
the NEW ALUMINIUM CONTOUR BOTTLE SERIES for Coca Cola. Inspired by
the “Coke Side Of Life,” the series celebrates the world coming
together for the Beijing 2008 Olympics. 8 International musicians and
8 top Chinese designers were asked to collaborate about what this
monumental occasion meant to them.

JES, using the theme, “Individual Perseverance,” composed “Be It
All,” to accompany Jiang Hua’s unique and creative bottle design.

Welcome to OKCTalk! I hope you'll find this site valuable and contribute to the discussion of all things OKC. Looks like your out of LA, what makes you come to this site other than to promote Coca Cola?

Franklin says the contour can holds the same amount of Coke Classic (12 fluid ounces) as Coke's standard aluminum cans, but is 8 mm taller and 2 grams heavier -- using 15 percent more aluminum than a regular, straight-walled Coke can. The shape of the can was inspired by the original contour glass Coca-Cola bottle, which according to the President of Coke USA, is "one of the world's most powerful equities with consumers."

"Mimicking the refillable, glass bottle, creates the image that the contour can is environmentally-friendly," said Franklin. "But in fact, the contour can creates more waste and more pollution and uses more water and more energy in its production than the standard can, and is many times more wasteful than the refillable glass bottle."

Attention, all soda must now come in a gray square can to maximize efficiency and reduce cost incurred by having color. Also, all flavors are being done away with and all soda will now be bland flavored. There is too much waste in having a variety of flavors. Finally, soda will no longer be clear or dark brown. Also soda must now be gray. That is all.

Actually, clear would be most efficient---gray would require too much coloring, I think. It also eliminates the need for caramel coloring, which I'm sure is wasteful in its production in its own right.

As far as bland-tasting sodas, as a regular drinker of Diet Coke I can attest to the fact that the market is already cornered as far as this option. :)

It seems like we're starting to get more and more solicitations and self promotions on OKC Talk. These can be discouraged by not replying to their threads.

I doubt it's the same person monitoring whether they get responses before posting more. We need to have harder registration. Aren't the first 5 posts supposed to be moderated anyway!?

Yes they are and we do.

This one I let through because some people might be interested in the Collectible Coke Bottles ... like others have said, if you don't reply, they drop off the page.

There are many, many posts that you never have to read because we delete them first.

And we appreciate your effort! (BTW, shouldn't I be a power poster now or something?! :))

Well being a techno/dance music fan I am familiar with Jes. She teamed up with Gabriel and Dresden to form the group Motorcycle and produced a hit in 2003 with "As The Rush Comes." Great song..... She has also worked with Tiesto on a couple of different projects.....

But, I agree that this is still spam.....

i guess i shoulda checked her myspace first. i admit that i did buy the motorcycle 12 inch, even though it was long after trance had fallen off and the dallas radio had run it into the ground.
