Got a little bit of insider info saying the office building on the north side of expressway just east of May will be torn down and a Hilton Garden Inn built in it's place. The person building it is also the owner of the Holiday Inn Express next door. Just thought you all would want to know.

Nope, just making conversation with the owner and he mentioned it. I believe it should start in about 2-3 months.

I was gonna say...there's no way they'd tear down 5600 N. May, which is the brown 3 story office building behind the Express Inn. My dad used to work in that building and it is really nice inside. But I'm glad to know they'll be tearing down that tan building. It's ugly!

I guess more time has passed than I realized. To see a baby Hilton going in cattywampus to the Crowne is interesting to me. Seems not so very long ago the Crown was the Hilton Northwest. But I'm a terrible judge of time lately so maybe it's just a faulty memory chip on my part.

It was in the last 5 years that it changed.
