View Full Version : Mayor Cornett's F#$% you to Wanda Jo Stapelton

I was downtown filing my papers for the (ok I can't lie I was paying a ticket...LOL)...and went and spoke with Cornett's secretary regarding his "interview" with The Lost Ogle dot com on their First Anniversary.

I didn't believe it was real, but she verified that it was. Recall what they said about Stapelton:

Here is reason 15. It’s a pretty simple one: give this old lady something else to complain about.

Dear god, what’s the world coming to when the old lady who uses coupons at Walgreens and holds up the line is now able to freely go in front of the Oklahoma City Council and give her piece of mind on issues that are way over her head. Seriously, I was waiting for her to pull out old photos of her grandkids and then applaud the quality of portrait studio at the southside Sears, but I don’t know if she did, because I could only watch 30 seconds of the clip before falling asleep.

Anyway, old ladies like this Wanda Jo Peltier Stapleton annoy me. It annoys me when they wreak havoc on our traffic system while trying to make brunch at the Cracker Barrel and annoys me when they want to ruin something great like the NBA coming to Oklahoma City.

Now, I was a big supporter of The Big League City campaign (not the Tinker sillyness though) but I thought this was a rotten thing and should qualify these kids as nothing but the little boobs that they are. Well, Cornett just can't wait to roll out the red carpet for them on their FIRST ANNIVERSARY of being a website, and grants them an interview. He refused time and again to debate Stapelton about the arena initiative, which I thought was rude...but this is just too much.

To grow and be viewed as the great place, full of fine folk that we are, we can't just sit back and say that this is ok.

You seem to have a angst against Mayor Cornett today for some reason. What gives?

Your problem with the Mayor doesn't have anything to do with your ticket does it?

Probably why I am "on edge" (I'm really not)...I probably deserved the ticket though, but I really don't think those people should have been trying to cross the street when I was trying to test out my new Boxster LOL!

Eh.. you too could have an interview with the mayor if you just so happen to have a blog that talked about media satire in this great state and were featured in the OK Gazette.. FRONT PAGE.

Oh GAWD the Smell!

Little Rascal's go-cart scenes are flying through my head right now...With the people flipping up in the air...

I found it pretty funny. He's a normal person like everyone else with his own annoyances. I can see part of his point though. Part of democracy is that eveyone gets their voice, but sometimes voices just get annoying when they aren't educated on a subject.

Then there are people like David Glover who get to talk just to hear their own voice with completely wrong statistics. But whatever.

ha OGTS, what a great show that was...awfully racist but I guess that is just how things were back then. Progress is such a good thing and I hope everyone can embrace it. Bomber makes a great point on how it does good for all for everyone to be heard.

I think it's terrible that Wanda Jo wasn't even given a chance to voice her opinion. I'm really disappointed in the Mayor for his comment on that site. I'm even more disappointed with the content on the lostogle site. Our society is getting more crude and less appreciative of the prior generation.

How are these Lost Ogle idiots so popular? I give them credit for offering Indian Territory something other than Mark Shannon´s ´website´.......but come on....write something funny and cut the soft porn.

How was she not able to voice her opinion. She got a lot of play out of the arena vote. She definitely got to voice her opinion.

This is about Cornett refusing time and again to have a public debate, but rolling out the red carpet for the fatties at Lost Ogle after one year of template based tomfoolery LOL!

So is every citizen of OKC entitled to a debate with the mayor? To act like Wanda Jo did not get to voice her opinion is pretty out there. In fact, out side of the Mayor she probably got her voice heard more than anyone on the issue.

Oh please. Wanda Jo got plenty of facetime in the media. Just because Cornett granted an interview with Lost Ogle does not mean that he agrees with their somewhat inflammatory remarks about her.
