I heard something that a group was looking to bring Jai Alai to Oklahoma...is it possible that they might do it in Bricktown?

I would LOVE that!

Jai Alai is very, very cool to watch, but one of the major draws is being able to bet on the players. Would it be possible (legal) to allow that in BT?

It also seems to require a pretty large building--full Jai Alai court, dressing rooms for the players, concessions, bet tellers, large spectator areas, etc. etc. etc. I'm thinking it would probably be at least as big as Harkins or Bass Pro. I think maybe putting this in the Adventure District might be a better alternative than in BT.

john60, I agree. The adventure District would be much better... I think it would work out like race track betting on horses..

Seems like I've heard this as well quite a while back. As others have said, I don't think Bricktown is a good location for it though.

On a different note, I'd like to see some outdoor tennis and basketball courts in downtown or Bricktown.

Roger Wheeler owned a jai alai team. You know where that got him.

I would not want to see that coming to OKC.
