I'm just curious... Have any of you visited any of the city's bingo parlors or do you know anything about any of them? I know the OKCTalk crowd probably isn't the most appropriate to ask, but it's worth a shot. ;)

Some friends and I were considering getting a small group together to visit a bingo hall in the coming weeks. Sounded like a different way to spend a Friday or Saturday night. Any suggestions from anyone who has been to one here?

I'm kind of embarassed to admit this, but I'm really a big fan of Bingo.

I watched Vega$ recently and they had a funny thing about Bingo
with the woman who used to play the President's secretary on
West Wing.

I won something once but I forgot what it was.

I know for sure it wasn't a bike.

I tried to play once at a Bingo hall and nearly had a panic attack trying to keep track of the numbers!

You have to be fast!

I played a few times on a cruise ship.. that is some serious stuff! 15K prize. My friend's son won $300 and her neice won $1000 the same night.

I, of course, won nothing.

Most of the local bingo halls are trashy, and not pleasant places to be.

If you want all the thrill without choking on smoke, churches frequently have bingo fundraisers. Catholics in particular are big on them. :)

Isn't that gambling? Aren't churches supposed to be against that? lol!

Maybe we could have the city hold an election and have the taxpayers subsidize building a nice new bingo hall.

Hey soonerj, did you find a place? Some of my girlfriends and I want to go play bingo this weekend too and have no idea where we will go. I want a place that serves beer.
