I drove by Rick Dowell's building at NW 3rd and Walker (just across the street from Legacy at Arts Central apartments in the Arts District). Looks like he's finally putting in floor to ceiling windows on the first floor. This building used to be an old auto dealership or parking garage. I wonder if he's finally putting this property on the market. For those of you that know Rick Dowell, he owns tons of property downtown and virtually flies under the radar. He's a smart old economist and knows how to hold on to things for the long haul, however it's frustrating when he's got all this downtown property and let's alot of it sit vacant.

I hope they do something with it. In another thread I suggested a small grocery store. It'll just be nice to have it renovated as I've seen it attract homeless people.

That building is the perfect size for an urban grocery.

I don't know why he sits on things so long. It's really no different that Brewer's Bricktown properties. At least these aren't in a high profile location like the canal.
