I haven't heard anything new for a while.

I have always been interested in the growth of that district, and I hope that it will one day provide a vibrant new color to enhance the visibility of our city. It may never approach the level of some asian enclaves in larger cities, but I have high hopes for it.

Have any of you guys heard anything new?
Construction or future plans?

They had the Chinese New Year festival this past weekend. Didn't get to go this year. I did last year and it was fun. If you go to Steve Lackmeyer's new blog, he has pics from Saturdays events. There are also several new shopping centers that have gone up in the last few months in this area. Unfortunately, they don't have much of an Asian look to them.

Lee's Sandwiches, a national chain of vietnamese sandwich shops, is opening soon. There is a thread on it somewhere.

There are plans for an gate along the lines of what you see in other Chinatowns. It's not at Classen & 23rd, but nearby.
