Can anyone provide a recommendation for a home inspector and a termite inspector? Advice regarding who to avoid would be valuable as well. Also can you give a reason (either way).

For the life of me I can't find any reviews online. Is there an amazon.com for home inspectors :) There are tons of inspection services for OKC listed on google but few even have a single web page explaining their services.

Oklahoma Termite Specialist did my initial inspection, and I have them come out once a year to follow up. They're very thorough and not overly expensive.

Pest inspection - check. Now onto the home inspection - anyone have a home inspector recommendation? It's amazing how little time you have after signing a contract to get a property inspected. The need for speed, not to mention the other factors, makes buying a house a high pressure situation. Thanks for any help you can provide!

You have control over that time period. Forget the defaults that the other party or the realtor wants you to put in a contract. EVERYTHING is negotiable. If the contract says 5 days and you want 10 say 10 and then sign it.

Good advice! Ultimately, we signed a contract with 10 days to get it inspected. Still feels like a time crunch forcing a blind decision on who to use. I'm still looking for resources that indicate the quality and reliability of individual inspectors.
