Okay, I drove by today and got scared...

I think the 240 Pearls has closed. Anybody have the scoop?

If so, this makes me especially sad. When the Original Pearls on NW 63/Classen moved, it lost its charm. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of that location. When it moved further north, it became stuffy. I always thought we'd have the I-240 location to remind us of the "original." Guess not :(

It's not on their website any more.

Never was very busy when we dined there so I guess I wouldn't be too surprised....Not a good thing at all....Frequent sunday brunch visitor for the bloody mary bar

Sucks if it's true

Wifey had a customer tell her that Pearls sold that location to Old Chicago

Guess it was just too good an offer to pass up

Construction is underway for the remodel , and there is now a sign that confirms the Old Chicago.

I wish they would come back to Norman. I really missed seeing their place close down a few years ago. I think a location in Campus Corner would be awesome for Pearl's because of their large bar, the place could be like Seven47 and operate as a restaurant during the day and evening and more of a bar at night. Incorporate a New Orleans-theme with balconies and patios and it would be a huge hit. And I know just the parking lot it needs to sit on... :)
