The U.S. Census Bureau has just released its estimates of state populations as of July 1, 2007. Oklahoma comes off looking pretty good. The total for the state is
3,617,000. This represents a gain of 173,000 since the official census of 2000 (an increase of 5%), and a gain of 40,000 in just the past year.
Figures for counties, cities, and metro areas will be released later in the year.
