I thought I was going to really like the new windows as they finished up with the last few floors. But now that they have, I don't like the look at all. I went back to the office and another person interrupted my saying this to shout, "I DON'T EITHER!" She said that she also thought it was nice, UNTIL it got to the top and now, without the dark tint it looks odd. What do you think? If you haven't seen it within the last week or so don't respond until you've seen it. You'll understand why. It's weird I feel this way as I thought I was really going to like it a lot.

I agree with you but I am sure it is just such a shock for now. we will probably get used to it especially when the units are occupied and the inside lights are on at night. I hated the New York Life building when they painted it burgandy? but now I am used to it too.

Unless they totally changed everything about the coloring on every other window, then I'm still going to say I think it looks much better. Getting rid of that dark blue crap makes the place look much more modern. The blue really dated it to the 60's and it sucked.

on NY Life - Personally, I was really glad to see that building painted. I hate white buildings. Same thing with the Oil Center....I like it MUCH better now.

I'm looking at those windows now and have to say the new windows don't bother me at all. In fact, they look just fine.

Really? See, it goes to show that CCOKC may be right. For some of us it may have nothing to do but the fact it's just different than what we've used to looking at for too many years to want to think about.

It's still priced ridiculously high.

Seeing your post and knowing that I had to go to Office Depot to get some stuff (*until the new store is built on Classen!*), I took my camera along and here you are ...

1st 2 pics: south side looking north

Looks good to me ... the color does somewhat remind me of the turquoise kitchen cabinets that were popular in the 1950s! And my old 1957 Chevy!

I think it looks miles better than the old dark windows. The new windows really freshen the appearance. The old dark windows just made the place look drab.

I think it looks fine. Also, I saw the top couple of floors lit up last night. That was great to see.

Thanks Doug!

It does look a lot better, especially since all the other buildings in the similar style (Continental Theater, Physicians Building) have been bulldozed or remodeled.

It looks like they may have cleaned up the stucco/concrete parts too.
