Tulsa rocker hospitalized

The Associated Press

DALLAS — The eldest member of the Tulsa rock group Hanson remained hospitalized Wednesday night after complaining of chest and shoulder pain following a performance the night before.

Isaac Hanson, 26, was taken to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas on Tuesday night after a show at the House of Blues. A nursing supervisor said Hanson was in stable condition Wednesday night.
Dallas-Fort Worth television station KDFW reported he was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, which occurs when a blood clot in the extremities breaks away and travels to the lungs.
Hanson's brother, Taylor, told the television station that his brother was doing well.
"We appreciate thoughts and prayers that have been out there for him,” he said by phone from Tulsa.
"We want the tour to go on, so you know we are working steadfastly to see how long he's going to need to rest.” The group is best known for its 1997 hit single, "MMMBop,” which helped ignite the boy band craze.

It is sad to hear, although I didn't know boy bands were "rockers".

They are not a boy band. They have all grown up, so has their music. They had a show scheduled in Tulsa at Cain's with 2AM that has been postponed due to his illness. We are all praying for his safe and speedy recovery. Poor guy - it's horrible!

He seems to be doing much better. The show has been re-scheduled at Cains for November 11th.
