A Saudi man divorced his wife for watching alone a television programme (http://get.lingospot.com/f?url=http%3A//search.breitbart.com/q%3Fs%3D%22television+programme%22%26sid%3Dbreitba rt.com&eid=csl&tid=8d7a747b7&site=breitbart.com) presented by a male, an act he deemed immoral, the Al Shams newspaper reported on Saturday.

The man, whom the paper did not identify, ended his marriage on the grounds his wife was effectively alone with an unrelated man, which is forbidden under the strict Islamic law enforced in the ultra-conservative kingdom, the paper said.

Men (http://get.lingospot.com/f?url=http%3A//search.breitbart.com/q%3Fs%3D%22men%22%26sid%3Dbreitbart.com&eid=csl&tid=11184acd1&site=breitbart.com) in Saudi Arabia (http://get.lingospot.com/f?url=http%3A//search.breitbart.com/q%3Fs%3D%22Saudi+Arabia%22%26sid%3Dbreitbart.com&eid=csl&tid=75ec4e07f&site=breitbart.com) have the authority to divorce their wives without resort to the courts.

Well, obviously that situation was not 'the norm' or it wouldn't have been reported in the newspaper.

Seige engine construction is actually a historical recreation, and a lot of fun.

Who wouldn't want to build a machine that will chuck a pumpkin 300 yards?

I'd be all over it if I thought for a second that I wouldn't put a "man injures himself while playing with home made trebuchet" headline trifecta in play.
