Does anyone remember the name of the insurance agency across from Precure's IGA in Brittain? It was something like Charles Sheffel (sp?). I think it was between the DX gas station and the elementary school. Actually, maybe across from the old bicycle repair shop at teh corner of Brittain Road & Classen.

Anyway, the owner of the Insurance Agency, Charlie, is now 89 years old, and is the oldest living US Army Captain from WW II. I met him on an airplane trip recently. There is a book about him and his experiences in Anzio w/George Patton up on Amazon, but I can't find it because I don't remember his last name exactly.

Can anyone help me with this?

I grew up on NW 100, and had several paper routes in the Brittain area from 1960 thru 1964.

thx

Charles Scheffel, and name of the book is Crack! and Thump. (http://www.amazon.com/Crack-Thump-Combat-Infantry-Officer/dp/0975450360/ref=sr_1_1/103-6505570-7385401?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1190192410&sr=8-1)

I was told that it was a good read a couple of years ago, but had forgotten about it...Now I want to read it too. Thanks for the reminder.
