I hope it's still ok to post a message like this. If it needs to be removed, I'll understand. I just want to let everyone know that Jack and I have had some fun delving into the history of Kerr McGee, and we've started posting photos and stories at our web site, Welcome to okchistory.com (http://www.okchistory.com) in the history's attic section.

Hi Steve, You guys are doing a great job! If you're going to delve into the history of Kerr McGee, you can't do it FULLY without reading the damning evidence in Richard Rashke's Second Edition of "The Killing of Karen Silkwood: The Story Behind the Kerr-McGee Plutonium Case. "
Find it here at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Killing-Karen-Silkwood-Kerr-McGee-Plutonium/dp/080148667X)
Investigative journalism at its best. The connections between Kerr-McGee Corporate Security and the OKCPD Intelligence Unit (one of the few of its kind for a city this size) makes for most interesting reading. If you're going to look at Kerr McGee's history, you can't ignore their having been seriously accused of murder and even immortalized on the big screen in 1983's SILKWOOD with Kurt Russell and Meryl Streep.

I worked at a Kerr McGee service station in HS...Changing tires, fanbelts, etc. That job rocked. I got my parts, tires, and gas at cost...Not to mention the part where I could payroll deduct my beer...When I wasn't even old enough to buy it.

For some reason, Doug, our new page that I thought was up didn't get posted. We're working on it now.
