Sonic makes retail group's Hot 100 list
Oklahoma City-based Sonic Corp. ranked No. 84 on the National Retail Federation's Hot 100 list, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing retailers.
The list highlights retail companies that reported the greatest year-over-year revenue percentage growth. Sonic's earnings grew 11 percent from 2005 to 2006.
All public companies with more than $100 million in sales were eligible for the list.
Retailers in the top-five include, Pennsylvania-based The Bon-Ton Stores, Texas-based GameStop, New York-based Triarc, Wahshington-based Zumiez and North Carolina-based The Pantry.
