If you are thinking about attending the 2007 Parade of Homes at all I am tracking the progress on a house that we are building at 2007 Oklahoma Parade of Homes/WeLoveOurHouse (http://www.weloveourhouse.com). It will hopefully be completed in time (minus carpet) for the POH which is the last week of October 2007.

Let me know what you think. The builder Pfenninger is doing most of the work. However I did all of my own cat5, cat3 and coax wiring. In addition I ran extra cat5 connections to most of the rooms for a future audio/video system. Ahhhh. Someday!

From what I had a chance to watch, it's looking gorgeous! I love the corner fireplace!

I'm so envious.. watching your videos reminded me of the videos we took when we built our home in California and lovingly picked out each and every detail..... we put in a swimming pool and handpicked everything from the tile to the carpet to the paint colors.

I still can't believe we left sometimes. Looking back, I will probably chalk it up to one of my worst decisions ever made.. selling our home there and leaving friends and family. For a job that didn't work out.. live and learn but what a costly mistake. There's nothing like building your first home .. it was hard to leave it.

The upside is now we have a fairly successful business and the kids are getting a wonderful education, something they weren't getting there.. we like it here, but I'm still homesick and miss my friends.

Anyway, congrats on your home! I'm sure you will love it so much more having chosen all the amenities .. it looks wonderful!

You'll understand one day when you buy/build your first home. You're just not there yet.
