I have a few visitors coming in from France via Texas and I would like to show them some cool things going on this weekend. Any ideas??

I think there's plenty to do in OKC, Im sure others can fill in the list.

Just whatever you do, DONT downplay OKC as some backwater place or 2nd to TX. Play UP OKC, as a comfortable alternative and growing city.

Your France visitors probably dont have the 'stygma' about Oklahoma that long-time TX residents have/had, so please dont perpetuate the negatives that might exist or might HAVE existed in the past.

Otherwise, the list ist long. .... depending upon their interests.

For out of towners, the OKCMOA, the OKC Memorial, Cowboy Hall of Fame are all musts. Shakespeare in the Park (at Myriad Gardens) would also be good. You could also show them the Oklahoma River and the Chesapeake Boathouse area. Stockyards City, Capitol Hill, Asian District, Paseo usually have something going on the weekends as well and offer some cool cultural diversity. Pick up a copy of this week's Gazette is well. That's your 411 to what's going on. As the Gazette says, "If you're bored in this town, it's not our fault."

Oh believe me...i'm a HUGE proponent of OKC and I know pretty much everything about the "places to go". I was just hoping to find something unique to this weekend/month/summer, etc. That I could take them to. Sort of like the boat races would have been last weekend.

If the Museum still does that cocktails on the skyline thing, that would probably be impressive to out-of-towners.
