While it by no means ready for prime time and is in very preliminary stages, I've been working on putting together (as well as I'm able) a departure schedule for WRWA ... I've not "publicly" posted in either my blog or website yet, but, if you're curious to see how it's coming along, here's a direct link:

Oklahoma City Airline Departures (http://www.dougloudenback.com/okcairlinedepartures.htm)

Any suggestions, criticisms, are welcome and appreciated.

This is my first post and I'm am so happy to find other people who are as enthusiastic about this great city of ours AND aviation!

You can find a schedule of every PLANE departing from Will Rogers World Airport at FlightAware > Live Flight Tracker > Airport > Will Rogers World Airport (Oklahoma City, OK) [KOKC/OKC] (http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KOKC) . It's a great tool to see what's flying in and out of OKC! And it's 100% real time. You can even see radar maps to see what's flying around the area!

Doug, you've done a great job gathering all that information, but a few comments:
America West no longer exists, they have merged into US Airways. A Canadair and a CRJ-100/200/700/800/900 are the same thing, just different models. An Embraer (not EmbraCer) and ERJ 135/145 are also one in the same, just different models.

Those flights you see on the flyokc.com schedule from BA (British Airways) and Japan Airlines are operated as a codeshare with American Airlines. As much as I'd like to see either of those airlines come to OKC, it's still operated by American.

I hope this has been helpful and continue the good work! I look forward to posting a lot more at OKCtalk!

Thanks a bunch, JetJP! I wondered about both BA and JAL when I saw them listed at the WRWA "departure" list. That helps, as do your other comments!

Doug,

Did I dream this, or has/is southwest adding a daily direct or non-stop OKC/Baltimore route? I thought I heard that on an ad last night as I was grabbing a coke.

I sent my baby girl to Germany via Baltimore not so long ago, though it already seems like forever ago. If we're getting a straight shot to BWI, it'll make me quite happy, and she and hubby rather estatic, to drop the DFW or Houston swapouts from the future trips.

The nonstop begins in August. I believe this is a benefit of the looser restrictions on Love Field in Dallas - so hopefully it lasts.

Southwest's schedules show that Baltimore direct (no non-stops) flights begn mid-June, if I've read them correctly. I have no personal knowldege about that, however .. just reporting what SW's on-line schedules say.

SW's on-line schedules ... go to Southwest Airlines (http://www.southwest.com) ... show this for departures from Okc to to Baltimore, beginning mid-June:

Okc To Baltimore ... Southwest #1787... leaves 6:25 a... arrives 11:20 a (flight time 3:55, 1 stop), Mon-Fri
Okc To Baltimore ... Southwest #792... leaves 11:45 a, arrives 5:20 p (flight time 5:10, 2 stops), No Saturdays
Okc To Baltimore ... Southwest #1064... leaves 2:35 p, arrives 8:50 p (flight time 5:15, 2 stops), No Saturdays

Doubtless, its best to check with Southwest to see if their web stuff is correct. And, like Malibu thought, something different may begin sometime in August, I don't know.

The non stop to/from Baltimore begins August 4. It's flight 1657 OKC-BWI 8:10 am - 12:05 pm. The BWI-OKC is flight 1124 which leaves at 5:35 pm and arrives in OKC at 7:40 pm.

Of course that's always subject to change.

I've pretty much got the schedule done. Still, I may have got something wrong or missed something. It's still not posted publicly, but here's the present link:

Airline Departures from Oklahoma City (http://www.dougloudenback.com/okcairlinedepartures.htm)

Thanks to those who made suggestions and gave some cool links (at the top of the page). As always, suggestions are appreciated. The 2 "Departure" time columns may be confusing ... I needed to use military time to for the sorts to work correctly but I added the "ordinary" time next to it, thinking some would prefer that it be shown.

Here's the "blog" version ... a subset of the whole but a link in it to all 3 sorts ...

I always thought a good billboard for WRWA would be to have a map of the US with a route map showing all of cities with direct connections to OKC. Across the top would be the phrase "25 Reason to Choose WRWA". The billboards could be placed south of Ardmore and just outside of Tulsa on I-44 and in Stillwater. This would incourage people to choose WRWA over Tulsa and DFW.

I've added that in the box at the tops of the schedules ... schedules can change between now and then so I didn't included it in the table, per se.
