I thought about it but tickets, hotel, food, and gas for two, I might as well take a vacation to anywhere in the US I want for the money.
Misty, I know San Anton has some good Mexican, but you can get pretty authentic stuff right here in OKC. There are plenty of tortillarias in Stockyards City and Capitol Hill. |

I see your point CM, but I don't try to KEEP people here but try to educate them about offerings that OKC has that most people aren't aware of. I know Misty recently moved to the area, although she used to live here, but perhaps she or someone else might not know about the booming hispanic population here or the tortillarias, pandarias, carnicerias and other places in the metro. Too many people for so long left OKC for Dallas, LA, etc. for some things they could have got here. I realize its great to get away (I do too), however I believe in promoting my hometown as much as possible and hopefully educating others on places they might not otherwise know about in their own backyard.
The one I go to I want to say is off SW 17th and Agnew on the lefthand side of the road. Don't quote me on that, I forget the name of the place but I'll let you know next time I'm over that way. |

I just called the Alumni office and they said there are no "official" spots. If I hear anything different I'll post it. My friend said he read in the paper that reservations are recommended as the restaurants are filling up.

I went to S.A. on my honeymoon. Both of us are fans of good Mexican food, so we did research before we went on the best places in the city for mexican food and ate at them. I never found anything better than what I can get in good ole' OKC.

Take a tortilla... lay it on the cabinet... put cheese and chicken in it.... put a tortilla on top... lay it on the grill..... take it off of the grill.....cut and serve.

The next person that tells me about how great Ted's is will get slapped with a microwaved tortilla from WalMart. |

Anyway, I like Los Dos Amigos in Norman but I don't really care about tortillas... I am a cheese & chips & enchilada person.

Los Dos Amigos is good. So are Tarahamara's, Nino's, Chelino's, Ted's, and Poblano Grill for that matter. I can usually get decent Mexican. But not the kind of Mexican that will make me want to learn the fine art of Bulimia so I could eat it three times in one sitting. |

The game was unbelievable. Definitely in my top three favorite games that I've attended. We had SOOOOO much fun. The crowd was so into it and the Mizzou fans were really, really nice. This was by far one of the best football trips I've done. My hands hurt from clapping so much, my voice was hoarse from yelling! I cried as we drove through Austin
I do love OKC but man oh man I miss Texas! I hope we have more Big 12 games in San Antonio. It was nice to wear shorts instead of hat/gloves/scarf to a Big 12 championship game for once! This was the best weekend I've had all year! ![]() |
