I'm surprised no one has posted this, but John Paul from 'The Bachelorette' is trying to make his own reality show here in OKC. The show will be called 'The Entrepreneur'. It will be about him, and his businesses. He has already shot the pilot episode which was shown at Quail Springs AMC last Thursday, and he is currently filming 3 more episodes on the opening of his new restaurant on Western, which he said will be one of the best restaurants in the country, not just the state or the southwest. He said all of the major networks are interested in the series, but nothing has been signed yet. He also said his show will showcase OKC as a great place to live and to do business. Apparently there was an article in the Oklahoman, but I didn't get to read it.

Strange. I guess when you crave attention and have money, then the only way to get it is to make a television program about yourself. THAT is arogant.

I agree - it does seem awfully arrogant. I guess he's confident in himself. LOL

Speaking of filming things - has anyone seen the signs at Penn Square that said you could be on camera because they have been filming something at the mall entrance? Anyone know about that? I didn't get to read the sign all the way.

Yes. In fact, I was used in a scene last week. It was not part of the "walk through." If I do not make it to "the cutting room floor," I will be in the movie.

What movie is it for?

Oh, now that I think about I think there was something the Journal Record last week about a company filming here in OKC - one that has filmed here before.

Yeah, it seems a bit arrogant, but I'm glad he's doing it and the restaurant. I'm sure it'll show OKC in a positive light. It'll show not only Bricktown, but the cool local N. Western district. Anything for good exposure. Who knows? It might be kind of interesting, even though it looks like a knockoff of Rocco Dispirito's "The Restaurant". Here's hoping it gets picked up.

It's not going to be just about the restaurant, he is more involved with real estate. The restaurant, is just something new. My aunt's, stepdaughter works for JP and his partner Derrick. She is working on a new apartment complex they bought (I don't know which one). It won't be a knock off of "The Restaurant".

Gosh, I hope for the best on this series. I hope it get picked up by one of the big 3 networks. OKC would definitely be put in a positive light. I don't live far from his restaurant. I'm looking forward to it opening and I wish him the best of luck.

I'm just glad the guy's staying in OKC when he could easily take his (minor) fame, money, and talent somewhere else. It will be good exposure for OKC.

I thought this guy was a very nice representation of OK. His family was well off, OKC was depicted in a very nice way with the dinner at his parent's house. I hope he does well.

Anyone heard how this is going?? I know he held a fundraiser and private screening at Quail a few weeks back but I was unable to attend. As arrogant as it may be, like previously mentioned it would be a good step for the city of OKC.

Haven't heard anything about this, but I do know that Court TV is currently shooting a reality show pilot in Shawnee called The Chief. It is about Shawnee's new police chief, who came this year from Philadelphia where he was a detective. A friend of mine is a PA for the pilot.
