Thread: Development near Meridian and SW 15th

I think it's another hotel

I heard that it was going to be a Hampton Inn. I heard this from one of the other hotel's GM.

That land is owned by the same people that own the adjacent Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites, headed by Raj Patel.

There's already a Hampton on Meridian near Sonic, so that wouldn't make any sense. But there are plenty obscure brands out there that still aren't on Meridian.

I drove down there today. This post talks about development east of meridian on 15 th. they are moving dirt on the west side of the hotel on the west side of meridian on the north side of 15 th. Anybody know what is going there?

I remember hearing several years back how this area was going to be developed for hotels and entertainment on the riverfront. At the time we were lead to believe it would be more entertainment and make better use of the riverfront than just putting up a bunch of business class hotels. It seems that area has lots of potential.
