I'd sure like to see Houston get there! It's about time someone from this part of the country get there and win! But, I'm sad to say I bet New York wins! They're already up 1 game to none in the ALCS. Of course that was at Yankee Stadium though.

Actually, before I saw the guyz on SNL, I recalled it from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off":
In a pizza joint, where the Cubs game is on, and the principal is drying himself off from a squirt: The principal: "What's the score" Pizza guy: "Nuthin - Nuthin" The principal: "So who's winning?" Pizza guy (after a look): "The Bears".

You know, when I came back from class Monday night, and saw that the score was 4 - 4 in the 9th inning, I thought FOX was showing a repeat of Sunday's nailbiter.
I've been watching the ALCS since game 4 and think it's one of the most exciting series I've seen. I'm pulling for Boston, so they can finally live down Babe Ruth and Bill Buckner. The fans are diehard, not fairweather fans you sometimes see.

New York has definitely has its turn. That's why I'm for Boston. At the same time, I'd like to see history made tonight....Boston winning in Game 7 after being down by 3 games would make a grat statement. Hmmm....a Boston vs. Houston series might be nice! That would kind of resemble the presidential election! LOL! Massachusetts against Texas! I'd probably go for Boston, but that has nothing to do with the presidential race.

I never thought of that. Funny how I would vote for a (transplanted) Texan and root for the most liberal city in the nation to win the series. The only thing that could make it more interesting would be if John Kerry had owned a percentage of the Red Sox. (Opps. Wrong Texas team. That would not work) |

Looks like Boston wrapped it up this evening.....just minutes ago they knocked off New York by a final score of 10-3. Absolutely amazing! First team in history to come back and win it after being down 3 games to none.

It is too bad the answer to the Jeopardy question will be a rude, self centered baseball player who use to play in Oklahoma City, then Texas.
He was the final out allowing the first team in history to come from a 3 games to zero trailing to win the playoffs... Who is Ruben Sierra? |

As I write this, Babe Ruth is watching this game with God. They are having a conversation about it.
God: Babe, don't you think it is about time you lifted that curse? Babe: Well, I might. Give me one good reason why I should. God: It has been 86 earth years. Yes, the Sox did you dirty. But my me, enough is enough. Babe: Well, let's see what happens. I'll think about it. (end of conversation coming soon) |
