I'm as loyal to OSU as humanly possible. I fought (unsuccessfully) to name my son for Henry Iba (my wife's grandfather was Henry, and suffice to say nobody's naming their kid for him) I wear orange nearly every day, started and operate an email forum for OSU fans...all while working for the last 18 years at the University of Missouri.
But I think this stuff's hilarious. It's just a game, for pity's sake, they're having fun, there's nothing obscene or unsportsmanlike about most of it (the "tuck Fexas" stuff I dislike and I'm not crazy about the term "sucks," either) and it's all just harmless. It's not as if the war effort is harmed by it, do you really think any of these OU fans would think for half a second about getting the back of a fellow soldier who happened to be a Texas fan? Of course not. |
