A man in Pittsburgh died last week of cancer and had a very unusal period of laying in repose. The man, James Henry Smith, of Garfield, Pennsylvania, was a devout Steelers fan, so his repose was not in a casket... He was placed on a reclining chair, with a television and Steelers memorablia instead of the traditional casket. He was later intured in a section of a local cemetery that just happens to have the same section number as the jersey of his favorite Steeler of all time.

Want I want to know is if they buried him in his recliner? And if they didn't, who's going to want to recline in it after he was taken out?!? I wouln't mind being buried in an osu casket.. nothing fancy, just an orange and black box, but I also don't want to be looked at after I'm gone (just close it up and throw me in the ground and quit crying, for pete's sake!). So, to answer your question, I think it's a little wierd, but creative.. and not really disrespectful, if that's what he wanted!

I always said I wanted to own my own business, then when I die, be stuffed by a taxidermist and encased into a glass case with a plaque that says "Our founder...No... This really IS our founder." So, I guess some people are just odd.
