Default How 'bout them Bronchos!!

Big win for UCO, on the road at #14 Mesa. I thought so highly of Gary Howard and hate what happened to him at the end, he deserved better. But the new era of UCO football's turning out better than ever. Go Blue!!

As a UCO alum, I'm glad to see it! I remember back in the day when Howard had a dynasty going on there. Like you, I was sad to see the way he was let go. But, I'll always be a Broncho! Go Bronchos!

Are you referring to the UCO Bronchos or Denver Broncos? I'm guessing you mean Denver, but I'll include the info on UCO as well.

UCO Broncos: From the first game of the season, looks like James Smith (Jr., Deer Creek) and Justin Allgood (Jr., The Colony, TX) are going to split the honors this year. Not sure if they'll eventually pick one, but they used both the first game and both played well. The combination seemed to work pretty good in the 35-14 win over Mesa State. Both quarterbacks seem to be really good passers. The Justin Allgood/Zach Edwards hook up is pretty impressive.

Denver Broncos: My actual main concern right now isn't with QB, but with tail back. Mike Anderson suffered a groin injury last weekend against Houston and will miss the entire season. But, that does mean good news for OU's own, Quentin Griffin. Looks like he'll be the lone starter. Hope Quentin is ready to put some more miles on those shoes!
Tatum Bell is in the mix for the number two position (along with Garrison Hearst- Hearst might win out since Tatum has been recovering from a broken finger, and Hearst is the veteran), now that Anderson is out. Wouldn't that be a nice mix......Tatum, an ole OSU grad playing with Quentin, the mighty Sooner!

Anyways, back to QB. Although Matt Mauck, from the national champion LSU Tigers, would be impressive, they're going to stick with Jake Plummer. Afterall, that's the guy they wanted over Griese a couple of years ago when they booted Griese out the door.
