Default NBA Championship poll

Who will win the NBA Championship? At the time I'm writing this, the San Antonio Spurs lead 2 games to 1 over the Detroit Pistons.

guess I was wrong. Pistons won tonight. Game 7 on Thursday on ABC. Series tied 3-3. Game will be in San Antonio. Winner of Thursday's game... wins the Finals.

Ah, you know it had to go down to 7 games!

By the way, I guess I'm out of the loop. I thought the Spurs used to play in the Alamo Dome?

The spurs just didn't want it bad enough... They had some lapses in their defense. I sure hope they can pull it together on Thursday... I'm not a huge NBA fan (they look like they are in slow motion to me!), but I liked David Robinson... So Go Spurs.. and CARDS!!! :~)

Spurs win third NBA title in seven years

Spurs 81, Pistons 74

With the NBA title on the line, Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs proved themselves worthy champions.

Duncan came up huge in the second half and was chosen finals MVP after having the worst playoff series of his career, and Manu Ginobili had another breakthrough performance Thursday night to lead the Spurs past the Detroit Pistons 81-74 in a Game 7 that was as thrilling as it was rare. In a matchup of the past two NBA champions, the Spurs came through in the clutch to win their third title in seven years and deny Detroit the chance to repeat!
