Cycling and Mountain Biking in OKC Area

Again, my wife and I just moved to Oklahoma City two or so months ago. We are trying to get back into shape and have been getting back on the bicycles as much as we can.

What are some of the best rides in the area - both on and off road? Here is what We have done so far...

1. Oklahoma River Trails
2. Hefner Trails
3. Hefner/Overholsor Loop
4. Frontier City East to and around Jones, Oklahoma
5. Mitch Park to Peidmont area
6. Arcadia Lake (mountain bike)
7. Turkey Moutain Tulsa (mountain bike)
8. Lake Draper (mountain bike)

I know there are alot of great rides around - especially to the east and north of Edmond. I'd love to know more about the rides around town and what is going on in the industry in OKC.

Bluff Creek is a mountain bike trail on the north side of lake Hefner. It is a fairly short trail but it is a fun little 3.5 mile or so loop and it stays in pretty great shape for the amount of traffic it gets.

There are also mountain bike trails @ Roman Nose near Watonga and Lake Murray near Ardmore that are less than a 2 hour drive.

Lake McMurtry west of Stillwater has an extensive trail system and it's only an hour from Edmond.
