Rumblings have been echoing that Red Lobster is all-but bankrupt. Wondering if this is just the beginning of wholesale closures.

It is being reported that at least 48 restaurants are closing out of 650 locations.

Interestingly enough the two Tulsa locations, and the location in Muskogee are all still open. I always patronize the one in Muskogee on the way back from traveling in eastern Oklahoma, whenever I can.

Norman location is still open, I just checked the list, only 3 locations of Red Lobster are closed which are Oklahoma City on Northwest Expressway, Stillwater, and Lawton

Any rumblings about problems at "The Garage?" I haven't been in a while, but a friend tells me the I-24 0 location has been inexplicably closed the last couple of days. No indication of closure on website. Something up??

There may be problems at that particular location, but most Hal Smith operations were closed today.

Not all Hal Smith locations were closed --- spoke with the general manager at Pub W in South Tulsa. He told me they were not closed (I came in for dinner), but one of their cooks said she wanted to participate and arranged for someone to cover her shift. He also said that if they are missing cooks, the management will step in and work the line, at least at his location. He also said a lot of the closures were determined last minute due to the cooks and back of the house people calling in.

Quite a few restaurants in OKC were closed to go to the Capitol to protest.

That's a shame that had to happen... it is disrespectful to loyal customers, and even more so to bartenders and servers who lost their shifts because of this issue.

    What were they protesting?

I agree it was a hard day for those working without a shift. However, without immigrants, our restaurants would likely not have enough people to run a profitable business. The law may cause people to be profiled and arrested for no reason. This would be the same for many different types of businesses in Oklahoma.

I have been seeing some activity at the now-closed Stone Sisters Pizza. Anyone know what's up with that?

They make pizza for grocery store frozen ailes. Homeland carries them.

Going back to Red Lobster, They officially filed for bankruptcy. Maybe they will be stronger once once they can fully drop Thai Union? Sounds like they were more interested in being an exclusive supplier than actually running a successful business.

After 30 years, ND Foods announced on FB that their last day is Monday. Always a great sandwich and dessert place but never convenient location wise for me. I need to go by and get a pecan square this week.
