It's for lease.

They're building new stores and placing them where the new growth is. They probably do this every 20 years or so to take advantage of being able to depreciate the building on their taxes.

And they never owned this location, unlike the new ones that are being built.

Interesting. I always thought selling the lot and depreciating the old building was a huge part of the fast food model.
