American Bandstand annual dance contest featured couples come from Chicago, Detroit, El Paso, Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. WKY-TV (The Scene) sponsored the Oklahoma City entry annually. Ronnie Kaye's sister was one of the couples representing Oklahoma City the year Oklahoma City won the AB Dance contest.
