As it’s only 1/16, I may have to reserve judgment until 12/31.

    Did you mean 2017?

If 2017, probably First National Center.

I'd also say the solidifying of Scissortail park, the convention center, the Omni and the streetcar were all huge steps forward.

All will completely change OKC and on a large scale.

Also the near completion of BOK Park Plaza is a big deal because it's the first downtown spec office space since the 80's.

Id say Classen Curve/Nichols Hills Plaza finally getting things together and bringing top notch and new to market retailers to OKC. And there are more good gets that will be announced this year.

Are you just speculating on this?

Definitely meant 2017 - can I edit the title?

To me the biggest changes that were good were major projects starting like First National, Scissortail Park, Streetcar. I think we added some great restaurant options in 2017 to the urban core, and retail along Automobile Alley continues to grow. Velocity (H&8th) was really great in 2017 and showed off the potential of Downtown and the Pro Am Bike races.

Bad - some turnover or empty spots in Bricktown that need to be filled up, all the construction deterring people from coming downtown, seemed like a slow down in progress overall although that is set to ramp up, OK State budget issues and education woes

I'd be inclined to agree with him. The recent stores have either been new to market, or more upmarket in nature. I doubt the current owners will settle for bad tenants.

There are several good new tenants almost ready to be announced and there will be plenty more when they build the new development to the south of 63rd.
