Thread: St. Anthony Neurology

  1. #1

    Midtown St. Anthony Neurology

This is interesting because everything to the west of Shartel is housing and Lisbon Lofts is directly north.

The first rendering is looking to the northwest, with Shartel on the right side.

Will be interesting to see what the neighbors and the Downtown Design Review Committee think of this.

The hospital's involvement is unclear; they do not own the land and the development is being led by a doctor.

Pretty building but not a good urban design.

Curious, what doctor is involved in this. We have a severe shortage of neurologists in OKC. One of the main ones retired last year, and another passed away. Both me and my son have to regularly visit a nerologist for various reasons, and scheduling is a nightmare (6 -12 months minimum). I'd love to see an increase in access locally.

Dr. Salman Zubair heads the LLC developing the neurology facility.

Since I just turned 50 my doc had me give him a laundry list of all of my aches and pains and sent me to the relevant specialist for each, including a neurologist at Saints named Matthew Ryan. He was not terrible to get in to see, and I appreciated the care he gave me. The good news is that I didn’t need a procedure for ulnar nerve entrapment! Also in his practice is Tehseen Khan, who saw my mom through recovery after a mild stroke. I’d recommend either of them.

Pete are the other Sosa projects still on track? Victorian Home remodel, Cirrus, and Midtown condos?

Talked to developer of Cirrus (immediately south of the neurology building) and he said they are almost ready to go to pres-sale. Sounds like they may not start until they have some units sold.

Victorian home on 8th is well underway on their remodel.

    Which Midtown condos?

Glad to hear about the Victorian Home!

The Midtown condos was that really small, 3 story condo project right across the street from Cirrus.

They have been trying to get a variance to various design and building issues.

Believe that is still in process.

There are a bunch of private homes that have started construction in SoSA as well.

Just too many to track individually.

Desperately need more good neurologist, and research programs for such matters. 50000 Americans die from epilepsy a year which is 10000 more than breast cancer. The funding is a tiny fraction of what they get. Devastating.
