    Default Anyone else see the large meteor on Thursday night?

    At about 10:00 pm Thursday night, I stepped out onto the patio and sat down in a chair and almost immediately a bright light, 90 degrees to my left, caught my attention so I turned and thru the cloud cover I could see a bright blue meteor blazing across the sky, heading roughly Eastward. I don't see many meteors and especially not many that bright. Pretty amazing experience.

    Multiple reports of the same object, seen from DFW to KCMO.

    I looked it up and an Oklahoma spotter rated it's magnitude as -18.

    Full Moon = -12.6
    Sun = -26.7
