This one felt a bit stronger and longer to me. I guess it really depends on where you are and what you are doing when these things hit.

My wife (born and raised in Indonesia) her friend (born and raised in Japan) who is staying with us both say the earthquakes we have here are different than the ones they have back home. Here, it's a generalized shaking but back home they say it's more circular and it upsets your equilibrium so much that you get dizzy. I think that would be much more frightening than what we experience.

I also might have posted this several weeks ago but I'm too lazy to go back thru 7 pages to see.

I felt one but wasn't sure about it, about one in the morning.

The USGS website shows a couple of others from before the big one but I'm too blonde to figure out the time translation.

I bet a lot of people even here in the metro{if they don't already}are going to have some structural/foundation damage from this.

Shook me right awake and was quite alarming. Thought it had been a very close lightning strike but quickly realized there were no storms. This was the first one I've ever felt with an audible roar. Felt shaking for at least 20 seconds. Nothing fell from any of the shelves, luckily.

Looks like at least one house in SW OKC had some pretty major damage.

What is the significance of the blue highlighted area above?

I'm guessing that is a temporary radar image of all of the birds that took flight at the same moment. There were some other more localized video loops on social media.

That was the first one I felt at home. Just outside of Lexington and on top of a hill. Woke me up, knocked down a painting off the mantle and spooked the cat. The only other one I felt was a little rumble/vibration a few months ago at home and the big one a few years ago and that was at work near the airport

Oh no, that's an approximate outline of the furthest out reports of people feeling it to show how large of an area people reported feeling it in.

Same here. It shook faster, lasted longer and more frightening than the 5.6, 2011 quake. I was saying, "Please stop, don't get worse."

Just got called to go to work and check the buildings for damage. I can write the report from my couch. None. But there's records of entry/exit.

While it was frightening to go through, picture frames and vases didn't fall to the floor at my house from the Pawnee quake, so gotta keep hoping the earthquakes don't get more intense. The earthquakes underneath and very close to Stillwater have for the most part subsided this year. Hopefully, things will continue that way. My guess is the next big earthquake, meaning greater than 5.0, will take place to the WSW of Perry. That area has been one of the hottest spots for earthquakes in Oklahoma for quite some time. Fortunately, that area is well out in the middle of nowhere.

So basically nearly 1/3 of the continental United States felt this the other day? That's crazy. Kinda alarming.

The earthquake was moved up to a 5.8 after more analysis. Now the largest recorded.

Well Stillwater just had 3 small earthquakes in 10 minutes.

I new it was stronger than the one a few years back. So I guess this 5.8 is a new modern day record?

Might be a lead up to a bigger one. Lots of houses have brick damage from the one the other day BTW.

I just noticed this evening, a small crack in my sheetrock has become a longer and much bigger crack. I wonder how many other people are getting cracking that is getting worse with each shake.

My guess at the next big one is Fairview since they have a had a number of medioum ones. Perry also as you suggest. If each new large one gets bigger, does that mean we are in store for say a 6.0-7.0? Can we say buildings falling down?? I doubt many have been build to seismic standards.

Just felt another one in SW OKC.

Just felt a small earthquake in Norman. It lasted about five seconds.

Indications are that it was a 3.8 near Spencer. I felt nothing in NW OKC.
