Thread: Save Our Story (S.O.S.) OKLAHOMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE HISTORY PROJECT

  1. Default Save Our Story (S.O.S.) OKLAHOMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE HISTORY PROJECT

    I NEED YOUR HELP!
    W A N T E D:

I am asking anyone who may possess or have an image of an Oklahoma County badge from as close to 1890 as possible, to please come forward and share it with me ASAP. The badge is important to a special project. The earliest examples I have found are from 1905 and 1910. I look forward to hearing from you. I am also open to anyone sharing images of their OCSO badge collection with me, regardless of age, but i really need to see an older one if at all possible. THANKS!

Note: the gold badge belonged to former Sheriff George Washington Garrison, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1908.

    Quick Assessment Bradley,

Who was the most "colorful" of the Oklahoma county sheriffs over the years?
